Last Tuesday 4 June, Rint de Vries (TESO), Tim Vlaar (C-Job Naval Architects) and Paul Bracké (Bakker Sliedrecht) received the "Institute Branch Award" from Arthur Vrijdag, president of IMarEST (Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology Benelux Branch) at the Technical University in Delft.
The parties involved received the Award for their presentation, which they gave in February to an audience consisting of scientists and naval engineers. All have been closely involved in the design of the Texelstroom: Paul Bracké as Manager Technology at Bakker Sliedrecht and creator of the basic design for the innovative electrical installation of the Texelstroom, Tim Vlaar as Technical Director at C-Job and involved in the design of the ship and installations of the Texelstroom and Rint de Vries as advisor in the new construction team of TESO.
It is a great compliment that the relevance and significance of the lecture has been so highly appreciated by IMarEST. By sharing experiences and knowledge on this stage, TESO, C-Job and Bakker Sliedrecht have contributed to the process leading to a more sustainable shipping industry. IMarEST judged the presentation to be the best.
