An uninterruptible power supply to the entire electrical installation is necessary for a successful maritime operation. That's why an AC distribution grid is still, in most cases, the proven and suitable solution for dredging and offshore vessels. With the emergence of alternative energy sources and storage, the choice of a DC distribution grid is of increasing interest. Choosing the most efficient implementation is essential, especially with hybrid applications and multiple energy sources. Bakker Sliedrecht advises customers on selecting a suitable AC or DC system. We also design, assemble and integrate AC/DC low and high voltage switchboards in our workshop.
The experienced engineers of Bakker Sliedrecht design custom switchboards for each application. The standards and dimensions of the installation environment are taken into account when assembling the switchboards in the modular electrical cabinets. We optimally coordinate the switchboards with the other systems within the installation. In addition, as an independent system integrator, we offer freedom of choice by integrating components from different manufacturers.
In our qualified workshops, high-quality components from reputable suppliers are processed into modular cabinets. In the test environment, all switchboards are tested by customer requirements. We then take care of the qualifications and ensure that it meets the latest standards. By testing the protection of the switchboards, we prevent failure of the installations due to errors in the design or construction phase.
